SADLER FOUNDATION SET TO AUCTION
SPECIAL HELMET TO BENEFIT
AUTISM AWARENESS
Opening Bid Already In at $2,000
EMPORIA, VA (April
27, 2007) – While most people celebrate their birthday with cake
and ice cream, Elliott Sadler will honor his 32nd birthday on
Monday, April 30 with a more memorable event – an online auction
for Sadler’s special Autism Awareness paint scheme helmet to
raise funds for autism research and treatment.
In an effort to promote Autism Awareness Month, Sadler has been
wearing a special autism awareness helmet at the races at Texas
Motor Speedway, Phoenix International Raceway and will sport it
again this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.
 The online auction will begin on Monday, April 30, at 8 a.m. ET
and run through Monday, May 7th at 1 p.m. To bid on Sadler’s
autism awareness helmet, fans can visit www.SadlerFoundation.org
anytime between now and May 7th. The winning bidder will receive
a Certificate of Authenticity from Elliott Sadler on Elliott
Sadler Enterprises letterhead.
All proceeds from the online auction will benefit the Hermie and
Elliott Sadler Charitable Foundation.
The helmet, which was donated by Impact Racing, sports the
multi-colored puzzle piece logo of the Autism Society. The
complex design was painted by Ryan Young of Indocil Art, who
handles the majority of helmet paintings for Evernham
Motorsports.
 “Helping to create awareness for autism is an extremely
important cause for me,” Sadler said. “It hits really close to
home because my niece Halie is autistic. The Autism Society of
America offers many different programs and opportunities to help
not only those suffering from this developmental disability but
also their families. It is a cause that I’ll do all I can to
help out.
“We’re not just trying to raise money for the Hermie and Elliott
Sadler Charitable Foundation but we’re looking to educate people
and raise more awareness about autism.”
